a) & b) 2 pair of pince-nez with gold chains and earclip.
Addition 24.4.98:
b) Rimless pince nez with earclip on a fine gold chain which is attached to a small hole drilled through the lens. The gold coloured metal bridge is positioned centrally, the nosepads fashioned from wire, with inserted cork pieces.
Extra information: Style known as a fingerpiece mount or 'Fitsu'. Designed in the US, it's rigid style was more suitable than the wobbly bow spring cup for astigmatic lenses and correct centring of spherical lenses (Orr p.14).
