Inscriptions: Signed and dated: "A. Millington / 1901" lower right corner. Subject Matter: Spray of flowers. Other: Reputedly on a piece of wood from the first Fremantle bridge which was built in 1866 using convict labour. In 1898 a temporary bridge was built alongside and in 1906 a new super- structure was built over the original bridge. Fremantle Receipt no. 2873.
