Kidney shaped. 'Standard' Derby Imari or 'Japan' pattern in underglaze royal blue with ferric red & green enamels. Extensive gilding. Paste probably contained high proportion of ox-bone from ca 1770 (40%). Soft clear glaze, pro to crazing. Painted mark, carelessly drawn in red enamel. Crown \ crossed bato with dots \ D.
