CH1980.264
Woven shawl of silk and fine wool. Cream centre with 12cm wide woven coloured border sewn on. Border of "Indian" influenced floral pattern in red, blue, green and touches of yellow. Reversed on the diagonal so that double border visible when folded. Fringe of the silk warp threads. Size, pattern and added borders suggest date before 1840.
