Cream silk band with purple panel beneath embroidered with 3 figures, house, bridge and stylized animal (?) outlined in gold-thread. Border of embroidered cream and purple. Wider panel of pale acqua silk with yellow and blue border. Embroidered with flowers and insects, outlined in gold-thread. Fringe of silk alternately blue, red, green, purple and yellow with metal discs. Red silk backing. Probably altar cloth or e.g. banner for weddings (advice of Gordon Suckling)
