PRESENTATION KEY in case

Stamped "CARIS / 18C". Inscribed: "Presented to Lady Forrest by the Contractors James Simpson & Co Ltd, on the occasion of the celebrations in connection with starting the pumping machinery of Mundaring 22nd Jan 1903". This provided the Coolgardie water supply. Decoration at top of key is engraving of a pumping engine. In case with blue lining.
