Royal Red Cross, 1st class in black leatherette presentation case.
[.1] medal; gold cross with red enamel inlaid into the arms. Central circle with the profile of George V. The cross arms have the words 'FAITH', 'HOPE' AND 'CHARITY' and the date '1883' in gold. 1883 referring to the institution of the award. The reverse of the central circle has the King's Crown and cypher of George V. Cross is attached with a suspension ring to a red ribbon with a blue centre stripe in the shape of a bow. A hinged metal clasp is sewn to the reverse of the ribbon.
[.2] case; black leatherette hinged case with royal blue velvet lining. 'R.R.C.' & '1st' in gold font to front of lid. 'GARRARD & Co. LTD/ Goldsmiths, Jewellers, & c./TO THE KING/By Special Appointment/TO THE CROWN/24, ALBEMARLE ST, W.' imprinted to lining of inside case lid.
