a. 2 oval dishes, scalloped edges. b. 2 round scalloped edge dishes. c. 6 round scalloped edge plates. Feldspar porcelain was introduced in 1800 being extensively used for table service until 1833. This was remarkably translucent, a factor greatly enhancing the beauty of enamel decoration. It was marked "Spode Feldspar Porcelain" printed in puce and surrounded by a wreath of roses, shamrocks, thistles; or else the inscription only was printed in blue. For mark see S.W.
