This report deals with the maritime archaeological sites associated with the Cape Inscription listing. Cape Inscription is the most westerly point of the Australian continent at the north-west point of Dirk Hartog Island in the World Heritage area

of Shark Bay. The area is historically significant for reasons that will be discussed in the report.
