Rope/leather/etc. artefact recovered from Belinda

2 x rope fragments:
1. Three-strand wound rope 19 mm mm diameter (individual strands 9 mm diameter) in a bight served with cordage 4 mm diameter, probably hemp, appears to have been tarred, probably rigging related.
2. Approximately 300 mm length of three-strand wound rope, probably hemp, individual strands 15 mm diameter, rope 28 mm diameter, probably rigging related.

Belinda

Belinda was built at Yarmouth with one deck, copper fastened and with iron knees. No dimensions apart from the tonnage are known, but it was stated as having a draught of 13 ft (3.96 m) when fully loaded. It was owned by J.
