'Certificate of Test' dated 6 May 1953. Instructions on inside of front hatch badly affected by adhesive tape were removed. They read: 'The Suspension of this Galvonemeter is fitted with a clamp. To unclamp the movement unscrew the small knurled knob on th efron tof the suspension tube. The moving coil and mirror should now rotate when the zero adjusting cap is turned, do not attempt to remove the movement from the suspension tube when clamped as this will damage the moving coil. The mirrors in this Galvanometer have aluminised surfaces. Do not rub vigorously when cleaning'.
