PATCHWORK QUILT

CH1980.549

American, the alternate blocks and wide border of mustard yellow cotton printed with very small red and brown buds; the remaining 16 blocks arranged in the 'double X' design. The pattern is in a similar small print in two shades of deep rose, the ground white cotton printed in two shades of coffee, edged and backed with red and white checked cotton. All hand sewn with tiny, even stitching. The stitching covers parts of the fabric which are not seams also.
