CH1978.111
Very finely woven woollen shawl with silk 'strips' around edges. Ground is cream with printed pattern of flowers etc. in maroon, green, blue, yellow in deep panel at each end and around edge. Fringe at 2 ends, of knotted silk.
Addition 15.12.78 (Information from Gordon Suckling): Show French influence, probably is bastardized version of Kashmir (Cashmere) design.
