Brightly coloured red, blue and green silk embroidery all over shawl. Bordered in red, black, blue and green, all on a cream background. Cream fringe on all sides.
Description on original Art Gallery catalogue card: Paisley type of silk work. Long tassels. Brilliant colours. In poor condition, moths have ravaged. Probably 19th century English.
