ROPE SPEED INDICATOR

Former Kalgoorlie Mining Associates property. Round dial with arrow marker. Dial reads "300 REVS OF TA...OGRAPH PULLEY 3000FT PER MINUTE / FEET PER MINUTE / No 399 / GLENFIELD AND KENNEDY LTD / MAKERS / KILMARNOCK". Graduated from 1 to 3000, there is a red line at 2500, per perhaps indicating that dangerous speed has been reached. Dial used to measure speeds of ascending and descending cage's ropes.
