SHOW BAG, Mills & Wares Biscuits

H1993.235

Mills and Wares Biscuit show bag believed to be from the 1950s. The bag has cardboard strengthening around the top and a string handle to facilitate carrying. Design consists of yellow vertical stripes approximately 2 centimetres wide on a white background. The large Mills and Wares logo appears with the words "Mills & Ware's" in flourished letters on a blue diamond like background. The word "QUALITY" is written in large blue block capitals directly below. The parts of the letters that are printed on the yellow stripe are outlined in white for added emphasis. The word "BISCUITS" is printed below in red and out lined in blue. This word would be the largest word on the bag being slightly taller than the logo. These bags were sold during the Agricultural Shows and contained samples of the company's merchandise.
