BADGE P.N.D. Protest and Survive.
H1990.393
Small round button-type badge. The badge has a metal base onto which the paper sheet with the message printed on and a plastic cover sheet have been pressed. The top and bottom quarters of the badge are red and the middle section of the badge is yellow. In the top quarter of the badge the letters "PND" are printed in black. These letters stand for People for Nuclear Disarmament. In the middle section of the badge the words "PROTEST / AND / SURVIVE" are printed in red. A picture of the symbol for nuclear disarmament is printed below this in white on a small circular black background. Clipped under the edge of the badge at the back is a piece of brass that has been bent to form a pin. It has been bent around the edge of the badge with the sharp end of the metal bent across the diameter of the badge and directly opposite this pin the metal is looped so the pin can be slipped underneath to fasten the badge in place.
