POCKET WITH SCHOOL CREST

H1990.182

Very dark blue or black woollen blazer pocket embroidered with the crest of Kent Street High School. The crest has an alternating red and blue border. Inside is a light yellow cross of cotton fabric with a red cross with black border embroidered inside that. The red cross has hooked ends on the cross piece. At the bottom of the yellow fabric the word "COURAGE" has been embroidered in red. The ground on each side of the yellow fabric is embroidered in alternating blue and red, with black borders. The crest appears to be machine embroidered. It was used by Elizabeth Hudson-Taylor who attended Kent Street for the first three years of high school, before going to St Anne's for fourth and fifth year.
