Circular enamelled medallion with gold gilt finish raised rim. Text 'WESTERN AUSTRALIAN VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADES/ ASSOCIATION' in border around outside edge of medal, border delineated by gold gilt line. Gilt finish laurel wreath curved around inside edge with hose, axe and wagon motif across centre. Black enamel background. Reverse: textured gold gilt finish, no fixing attached.
