Green enamel shield in centre with text 'BP', sitting in white enamel circle. Encircled by green enamel border with text reading 'REFINERY FIRE SERVICE/ KWINANA'. Encircled by gold gilt finish laurel wreath with bow motif at bottom centre. Silver finish raised lines radiating out from wreath with longer points at eight evenly spaced points. Badge surmounted by two crossed batons with pith helmet motif above in light gold colour finish. Curved green enamel banner at bottom with text 'LONG SERVICE'. Reverse: silver finish, slightly yellowed at top. Discoloured rectangular area in centre where fixing should sit with pieces of raised grey metal. No fixing attached.
