PAMPHLET, interim award of the commonwealth court
H1993.105
Full title of the pamphlet is 'Interim Award/of the/Commonwealth Court of/Conciliation and/Arbitration/ delivered on July 2nd 1941'. The cover is brown with black print, and the length of book is 8 pgs. The new award was given to the Waterside Workers' for the duration of the war by the commonwealth court, after the W.W.F. claimed they should receive more wages in return for guarantees to prevent delays in ship movements. Included in the booklet are the new rates of pay, clauses to do with shift work, smoke-ohs, meal provisions and conditions of labour.
