APRON, embroidered

H2015.15

Cream calico hand and machine embroidered apron trimmed with mid-green bias binding to all edges. Ties to each side, no tie at neck. Central embroidered image of a woman wearing a green dress holding a bouquet of flowers, including wattle, waratah and foxglove in her right arm and a hat with a pink scarf with green spots in her left hand. She is wearing brown shoes. To the right hand side of the apron front is an embroidered kookaburra on a wattle branch and to the left side is a small pocket trimmed with green binding and stitched with a spray of wattle. Below the woman along the bottom of the apron are embroidered flowers from left to right: wattle, orchids? and waratah.
