Discharged Returned Soldiers Badge, gilded brass. Circular with small King’s crown surmounted at top. Lettering around exterior: ‘ISSUED BY DEPT OF DEFENCE * RETURNED FROM ACTIVE SERVICE * ’. Rising sun motif in centre, above lettering: ‘A.I.F’. Two metal shanks on reverse, with ‘73499’ stamped below and ‘STOKES SONS/ MELB’ stamped above.
