Heavy black damask? fabric with black silk lining, padded shoulders, 2 buttons to bottom back hem, ornamental appearance with features of a regimental coat including large fabric covered black butons to each side of front breast with long stitched ornamental slits graduating inwards to waist, sleeves have three fabric covered buttons and ornamental slits on up-turned cuffs to the outside of each arm with matching ornamental pockets; Manufacturer label, black cloth with red embroidered J. WIPPELL & Co. LTD/Tailors and Robe makers EXETER, LONDON, 11 Tufton St. Westminster, S.W.1/MANCHESTER, 32 Victoria St. (ENTRANCE CATEATON [?] ST); cream silk name label with red printing 'Bishop of Nor-West' stitched on and obscuring the bottom part of the manufacturer label.
