China cup and saucer set.
[.1] White china cup with gold rim. Image of a gold rising sun with radiating sunbeams resting on a twisted white & red bar, a Union Jack Australian flag with crossed flag poles upon which rests a green laurel wreath on front face. Image of HMAS SYDNEY on a green sea under the flags. 'H.M.A.S. “SYDNEY” DESTROYED THE “EMDEN”/AT KEELING COCOS ISLAND NOV. 9 1914' printed under image. 1908 Australian coat of arms, with a kangaroo and Emu either side of a shield with a cross and 5 white stars, above a yellow banner marked ‘ADVANCE AUSTRALIA’ and ‘COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA’ written below on reverse side. Makers stamp on base in green: 'RADFORDS/(crown)/CROWN CHINA/ENGLAND'. Painted separately are a gold 'H' and a red 'W'.

Image of the Union Jack and Australian flag crossed on one side, ppposite an image of the HMAS SYDNEY on a green sea, below which is written 'H.M.A.S. “SYDNEY” DESTROYED THE “EMDEN”/AT KEELING COCOS ISLAND NOV. 9. 1914'. Sprig of green leaves above a yellow scroll marked in black 'FOR FREEDOM AND HONOUR' on right side, opposite an identical image marked 'ONE FLEET, ONE THRONE'. Makers stamp on base in green: 'RADFORDS/(crown)/CROWN CHINA/ENGLAND'.
