PLAQUE, 10th Light Horse

H1994.60

Plywood plaque made to resemble a 10th Light Horse Regiment collar badge (minus bottom of wreaths). This would be a left collar badge. A flat sheet of ply has been shaped in outline to conform to a 10th Light Horse badge. The details of crown, wreaths, banner and swan etc., have been carved in outline (possibly a router or hot rod). The whole has been painted gilt to resemble the gilt metal badge. The swan is painted black and the eye red. The Banner at the bottom is inscribed with the 10th Light Horse motto 'PERCUTE/ ET/ PERCUTE/ VELOCITER'.
