BADGE, Australian Workers Union

The front of the badge has an enamel surface. The text reads '62-3/ AWU/ Unity is strength'. The badge has the year at the very top followed by, in large capital letters, A.W.U. and a map of the Australian continent with two hands shaking or holding one another through the middle. Under the map is the A.W.U. motto. The colours of the badge are white, gold and blue. There is a pin at the back of the badge which allows it to fasten safely to any garment.
