Weaving sticks used for perms. Instruction sheet shows six pictures of weaving sticks in action. Text reads 'Hair/ Weaving/ Sticks/ The illustrations show the type of set/ up to weave a full head./ The set should be varied for effect. / Do not use perming solution./ Just wet the hair, weave, dry, comb out./ Setting lotion will help you weave fine/ hair more easily./ A scattered setting pattern and large/ sections will give the hair a free,/ dynamic fullness and bold texture./ 1. Start at the back of the/ crown, parting off a large section with a / triangular base./ 2. Place the first/ stick one inch (2.5cm)/ from the roots./ 3. Now weave the lengths/ in and out of the stick./ After each loop, ribbon/ the hair to keep it/ smooth. Use the left/ hand to keep the stick/ open during the weave./ 4. Weave the hair more tightly as you near/ the ends. Wrap foil/ around the ends to/ keep the hair from/ unravelling./ 5. For the sides, take/ large, square sections/ from the centre part./ Comb the hair smooth/ and weave onto a stick./ 6. Just follow the head- / form, working down from / the top of the head in large square sections'.
