Young girl's (about 8 years old) dress of white cotton muslin with self stripe, hand-embroidered with tiny sprigs in white-work; wide, square neckline, bound with self fabric; short bodice gathered at waist and shoulders; inserted waistband of cambric; long skirt gauged to waistband; plain hem; short sleeves, ruched and bound with fine tape, 3 narrow frills at edge, armholes piped; back closure with mop button (possibly not original) and 2 brass hooks and eyes; handsewn throughout.
