Round cornered square TSUBA of iron with 2 RHYOHITSU (holes) and high relief carving of moon over a mountain with a Hare (inlaid) of gilt/shakudo setting on hillside amongst SASA leaves. Obverse isplain except for a small stream depicted in one corner. Unsigned. Edo Period.

Tsukuri: tetsu, with rounded corners decorated with a high relief carving of a moon over a mountain, beneath which a hare, inlaid in hilt and shakudo, sits on a hillside amongst sasa leaves. The reverse side is plain, except for a small stream depicted in one corner.
