Belgian breech loading. Charge/projectile: snider cartridge. Sights: fore - recessed, rear - bridge; numbers on side 1712 212 244. Brass trigger guard, butt plate, ramrod holder, number on rear LHS of barrel - 733 (manufacture). Proof: crown over GD/51 on right hand lock plate. Furniture: 3 spring held bands, leather sling.
