Muzzle loading, percussion lock, double triggers, twisted barrel. Proof: 'F. Barnes & Co London' engraved on top of barrel. V & P over crown on both barrels. Furniture: plain escutcheon, wooden pistol grip, belt strap, lion mask on butt, engraved scroll decoration on hammer, side plate trigger guard and breech. Formerly the property of Hon. Peter Broun, first Colonial Secretary(1829-46).
