GEARS, Pair "BEVEL"

T1979.18

Mounted example of simplified method of cutting level gears developed by Messrs. R. Minchin, A. Bunn \ L. Grellier and the late R. Fardon. This method incorporates the "PARALLEL DEPTH METHOD" of cutting gears, which uses standard involute form cutters instead of special thin cutters required for conventional milling of bevel gears. The `PARALLEL' depth method removes the necessity of hand finishing the teeth by filing.
