Squat, bulbous opalescent porcelain vase with gilded lip, maroon collar and gilded spiderweb extending down the sides. Six black spiders, each with a prominent black and red bulge in the centre of their backs, cling to the web. The base has a thin trim of maroon. Within the lipped base, 'Redbacks!'and 'Handpainted by Anne Blake' is handpainted in black
