GRANDFATHER CLOCK, Christ's Hospital London

Long case 'Grandfather' clock, with engraved plaque 'Christ's Hospital London'; ornately carved dark wood (possibly mahogany) cabinet detailing floral bouquets, bows and an animal face to lower front, brass internal fittings, gold and silver coloured metal clockface also ornately detailed with filigrees, scrolls and cherubic faces, has a chime dial switch to change between the chimes, roman numerals in black. Fitted with both Westminster Quarters and Whittington Chimes. Male face to bottom section of front of longcase cabinet. The wooden and glass hood, brass pendulum and mechanism and metal clockface have been removed for storage purposes. Likely dates to late Victorian era.
