SHOES, Ballet pointe, pair

SHOES, PAIR BALLET POINTE, black leather, large, size '5/ 'JIMBES/2353' is pressed into the leather of the soles. Shoes are lined with cream calico with a leather inner sole. A black cord runs along the edge of each shoe, to secure the shoe firmly to the foot. A white elastic loop is hand sewn onto the heel to secure the black tapes, also hand sewn on each side of the shoes. Two small, button-hole stitched eyelets have been made below the elastic loop. 'DOLLY.ASHTON' is hand written in ink on the inside calico on the left hand side. 'F' is handwritten on the right shoe. The other shoe's writing is illegible.
