CRICKET SHOES, half spike, white, synthetic, size 10, ‘Kookaburra’, Mike Hussey

Pair of size 10 half spike white synthetic Kookaburra cricket shoes with white laces and thick hard heel. Interior sides are grey padded fabric, with a blue inner sole. ‘Kookaburra’ brand logo printed in blue inside a small smooth oval circle stuck on both sides of the shoes near the heel. Green and blue striped plastic ribbon extends from the laces on both sides of the tongue, and joins with a piece of the same patterned fabric which loops around the back of the shoe. White plastic emblem with dark blue stitching on both sides below the laces. Back of shoes contain a navy plastic section with a green kookaburra symbol and ‘KOOKABURRA’ in blue writing. Tongue is thickly padded, coloured blue and white on the exterior, and marked with the Kookaburra logo in blue. Inside of tongue has a faded and worn synthetic tag sewn into it, marked ‘...750 KAHUNA…/…FULL SPIKE OUTSOLE…/MADE IN CHINA’. Blue and white sole designed to be full spike, but has modified as half spike. Sole under the ball of the foot has seven blue rubber circles into which are screwed 10mm high metal spikes with 25mm diameter bases. Bases have the Kookaburra brand symbol imprinted on one side, and have two small holes used to unscrew the spikes. Numerous small pointed pieces of rubber, approximately 5mm high, surround metal spikes. Grey gel like section with ‘KISS’ marked in blue within an oval on the arch of the sole. Heel section of the sole is white and has four rubber spikes which have eight raised angles lines forming a circle around an embossed ‘Kookaburra’ brand in the centre. Remainder of the surface covered in small pointed pieces of rubber. Dried grass and mud present in the spikes and grooves of the soles.
