BOLT OF FABRIC, wool, black with feint white and blue pin-stripe, tied with string

H2013.105

Bolt of black woollen, plain weave fabric with fine horizontal, alternate stripes, in blue and white. The fabric is wound around a thick, cardboard bolt and is secured and tied with two lengths of string. The manufacturer's swing tag is attached to the fabric on one end with string 'ALBANY/WOOLLEN/MILLS' is printed in red across the top of the tag. 'QUALITY/PIECE NUMBER/DATE/STRINGS/YARDS'are printed below in blue and filled in with ink. A stamped yardage is printed as '064 3/4'. The tag has a brass rivet through which the string passes.
