[.1] All composition doll, (RELIABLE/MADE IN CANADA) imprinted on back of head. Moulded face with red, open mouth showing two teeth, blue, sleeping glass eyes with top lashes, eyebrows painted. Blond, mohair wig, with curls. Reverse socket head. Bent complete arms with moulded hands, bent legs, body jointed at hips and shoulders. Dressed in fine cotton pale blue short-sleeved dress, with lace ruffles at chest and Peter Pan collar. Cream cotton under-suit. Cream shoes with tie across ankles and silver buckle detail.Fine hair net under matching blue hat with tie under chin [.2 &.3] Presented in original paper-covered cardboard box with house and tree repeating pattern in orange, green, black and pink with paper lace edging. A label with pictures of dolls is glued to one end 'Australian Made I-DOLLS/Sole agents/ S.Hoffnung & Co Ltd' [.4] Box padded out with three brown paper pouches filled with wood straw [.5] Christmas gift tag with illustration of elves singing carols in a snowy landscape with name 'Dolly Ashton' written in pencil on it [.6] Heart shaped, blue tag with string 'I-DOLL/THE IDOL OF THE KIDDIES HEART/BETTY' written in red
