One large yellow lever arch ‘SWAN BREWERY’ file. File itself is made of yellow vinyl with a large black swan silhouette in the centre of the front cover. Below the swan is ‘THE SWAN/ BRWERY/ COMPANY LIMITED’ in black text. The spine has a small hole near the bottom and a small rectangular plastic sleeve attached near the top to insert labels. Front and back covers are slightly dirty with faint stains.
Contents: 1 proof folder for Swan Draught, consists of a cardboard backing which has had a cover of red card folded over (landscape). Sticky taped to the front of the red card is a flat proof of the white ‘SWAN DRAUGHT’ can. Lift the red cover and inside is attached a piece of tracing paper with some illegible handwriting in black ink in the bottom right corner and the date ‘19/1/82’. Lift the tracing paper and the main cardboard backing has a paper black and white proof copy of the same ‘SWAN DRAUGHT’ can which appears on the front.
Following this folder is a number of other metal beer can proofs consisting of the flat metal can attached to a paper which says ‘WESTCAN/ LABEL SPECIFICATION’. Some of these are in plastic sleeves and others are hole punched to fit straight in the file.

A light, target and dark version of the cans is attached to the inside of the file, with tissue paper in the middle. The left (inside cover) shows the light and target cans, with the dark attached to the right (inside back cover) above a section which says ‘CUSTOMER/ JOB/ TOLERANCES SUBMITTED 7-9-82 [date handwritten]/ APPROVED [signature] 9/3/83 [date handwritten]/ REMARKS’.
