WALLET, leather, raised relief portrait

Small, rectangular, envelope style, light tan leather, ‘GEORG HU…/ HAMBURG-BERLIN’, raised relief portrait on reverse (Kaiser Wilhelm II?), wallet. Curved, semi-circular shaped top flap, with single stitched border (thread no longer intact, perforated holes remain). Single straight line pressed into top of flap. Plain lower front, with slightly downward curved opening to wallet, single stitched border on each side, some thread missing. Simple folded top and bottom edges. Single straight line pressed into top of reverse, single stitched border continues on each side, some thread missing. Large, vertical oriented, detailed raised relief portrait of older male in military wear (Kaiser Wilhelm II?), with moustache and sideburns, surrounded by laurel wreath. Inside top flap maker’s mark punched into leather, reads ‘GEORG HU…/ HAMBURG-BERLIN’. Inside unlined, plain. Outside leather creased at corners, discoloured dark colour on centre-right of top flap and centre right of lower front. Small puncture to bottom centre of front flap. Light patches of discolouration on lower front left. Leather around opening creased and slightly bent from use. Scratches all over. Reverse slightly discoloured on lower right side, raised portrait slightly darker/more worn than surrounding leather. Pen ink lines/marks on inside front flap.
