TOOL BOX, containing moulder's tools

Rectangular wooden tool box with lift out compartment, which is divided into two sections. A metal name plate on the box lid reads "J. Mc Mahon". The lid is attached with three metal hinges, with a latch for fastening. The base of the box is painted black, while on the lid section most of the paint has been removed through use. Collection of moulder's tools in box. The tools are principally used for smoothing sand prior to pouring of metal into the mould. The right-angled pieces and tubes are for blowing sand grains, and rods for pushing holes. "WAGR" (WA Government Railways is impressed on some of the tools.
