CRUCIFIX

H1995.1451

CRUCIFIX (Catholic) - wooden cross with figure of Jesus nailed to cross in traditional manner. Features of the figure include - blood dripping from the right side of the chest, a small cloth draped around the waist, thorn crown. A small scroll at the top of the crucifix reads 'INRI' (for Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews). One cm at each end of the crucifix has a thin metal plated section (probably in aluminium).
There is a small triangular shaped hook at the top, with an engraved leaf design on both sides.
What may have been the original price tag is on the back - small rectangular sticker.
