DOLLS MERRY-GO-ROUND
H1995.1107.a-g
Made from wooden pegs. Has a square base with wooden spindle running up through centre of triangular peg structure. At the high tip of the triangle is a circular rotating set of peg arms. The central spindle has six doubled strings thread through metal rings, down through the extended peg arms and hang, suspending six peg chairs. In the chairs sit six plastic dolls. The dolls are dressed in thin fabric tunics with underwear, socks and plastic shoes. The fabric of the tunics vary for each doll. The merry-go-round would probably have been too fragile to play with as a toy. The central peg structure is stained brown, while the peg chairs are painted orange, pink, blue, grey, yellow and green.
