Mid-blue, cloth covered book printed on the spine in black 'EVERYBODY'S POCKET CYCLOPAEDIA, SIXPENCE.' and on the front cover (in part) 'VOL 1 of "EVERYBODY'S SERIES"/ EVERYBODY'S POCKET CYCLOPAEDIA/ OF / THINGS WORTH KNOWING, THINGS DIFFICULT TO REMEMBER; AND/ TABLES OF REFERENCE/ BY / DON LEMON/ MADWICK, HOULSTON/ & CO., LTD/ LONDON'. Contents include list of events; history-battles, dynasties, greatest men of the world, progress in railways and religious liberty; maps and geographical facts, literary characters, quotations, name meanings, different types and how correct printer's mistakes, morse and mirror signals, about marriage and sport. Other areas are 'scientific', 'household facts', 'arithmetic', 'commerce' and medical. The back cover has an advertisement for 'FRY'S/ PURE CONCENTRATED/ COCOA'. ON the front page is glued a decorative presentation certificate, 'PRESENTED TO/ WITH COMPLIMENTS OF THE/ EDITOR 'SUNDAY TIMES'. Just visible is the owners name, 'Mr W.A. McConnell,/ WAROONA'.
Section; Economic Progress of the World ends at 1910, suggesting that the Cyclopaedia was printed in 1911.
