LOCKET, Gold Identification
H1994.131
Gold locket, oval-shaped, containing written identification. The locket's external surfaces are engraved with a simple floral pattern, intersected on one side by two plain stripes running at 45 degrees. The locket is hinged on one of its longer sides, and has a loop soldered at the top for a chain. Inside, the locket has a window on each side, covered by a clear synthetic polymer. A paper inset beneath each window has been inscribed in careful hand-written ink. On one side: 'Jacqueline Yvonne:/ youngest daughter of / R.C. (Jack) and Ethel Young/ Born Subiaco Dec./14th 1936.' On the other side: 'Jacqeline Young./ 3 Hill St./ Bayswater'.
