Standard metal grinder with wood handle. Has a top aperture through which food is entered and internal screw moved by handle which pushes contents through barrel to a propeller shaped chopper against a thick plate with small holes. Handle attaches to the unit by a screw. Blade and plate held by a rim which screws onto barrel. Rim marked: 'SPONG/ LONDON/ ENGLAND'. Outside of barrel, on one side reads: 'SPONG' (in oval frame) and 'MADE IN ENGLAND'. On reverse: 'NO. 8/ SONG - LONDON'. Handle is also marked in a raised oval 'SPONG'. Unit attaches to a flat surface such as a bench or table with screw clamp.
