MONEY BOX

H1992.82

A modern plastic money box made in imitation of teller machine as found outside any bank today. The rectangle body of the box is white plastic, the "face" of the teller machine is paper with the keyboard controls printed in colour. The money boxes are given out to children to encourage saving and advertise the R&I bank. The box is marked on the paper face "R&I / The Rural and Industries Bank of Western ustralia/ EASY BANK". The back is marked "That`s the Spirit / R&I / Bank of Western Australia / Reg Des 01376 Pat App PC3513175". The `teller machine` window shows the message 'START SAVING' when the box is empty. As money is put in the message changes as the inner container gets heavier.
