SPLICERS, Wire rope

H1991.6.a-d

Splicer tools are used to unravel wire rope or make openings between the strands.
[.a] Large, T-shaped tool with top bar (handle) rounded and a more flattened shaft which tapers to a point and is slightly kicked up.
[.b] T-shaped tool with rounded top bar and a wide flate shaft tapering at the end. The lower half is slightly recessed on one side.
[.c] T-shaped tool with a rounded top bar marked with line across the diameter of one end. The shaft is flattened, tapering at the end, and the upper 2/3 of the shaft is recessed on both sides.
[.d] T-shaped tool with a rounded top bar and a flat shaft tapering at the end. One side of the shaft is recessed.
