BOSUN'S SEAT

Former Kalgoorlie Mining Associates property. Hand made wooden swing seat with steel cable threaded through holes at four corners and joined into loop at top. Chain, cable fastened to two corners by spring clasps to hang down - has rubber pieces of pipe threaded onto cable. Used for paint or repair jobs on headframes or large structures. Occasionally used in mine rescues.
